The theme in this paper is about the ethical principles of HAMKA context moral development Indonesia. ethics commonly discussed various scientific works, but what makes it interesting that he one greatest thinkers Indonesia who also known as a scholar, writer, expert on Sufism, and philosopher. This underlies author to examine seek answers problem formulas, namely how concept are Indonesian? method I use qualitative research form library research, by using content analysis method. each material can be sources from books, journals, or articles relevant topics have been investigated, analyzed, synthesized complete answering questions. result has characteristics rational-religious ethics. made basis its Greek concepts Muslim philosophers such Ibn Miskawaih al-Ghazali. synthesizes thoughts with values taught Islam through Qur'an Hadith.
